Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2025: 10 Do’s and 10 Don’ts

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2025: 10 Do’s and 10 Don’ts

Okay Dreamers, are you new to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or has it been years since your last one? Either way, the most festive night of the year is back at Magic Kingdom, and while it’s pure holiday magic, those tickets come with a very merry price tag. The good news? There are plenty of ways to make every minute and dollar count.

We’re skipping the photos for this post so you can get to the do’s and don’ts fast!

This Year’s Deets

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is your chance to celebrate with festive entertainment, sweet treats, and that storybook holiday atmosphere Disney does best. The event runs on select nights November 7 through December 21, 2025, from 7:00 PM to midnight, but guests can enter as early as 4:00 PM with a party ticket. Dreamers, note that all November dates are SOLD OUT!

Tickets range from $189 to $229 per person plus tax depending on the date. Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders can save $10 per ticket on select nights from November 7–21 and November 30–December 4, subject to availability.

Tickets are limited and often sell out early (as you can see that November has already sold out), so don’t wait until the last minute. We can’t stress this enough, Dreamers.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party DOs

Do Arrive Early
Get in at 4 PM, have an early dinner, and enjoy the park before the official festivities kick off at 7. Eating a full meal early allows room for all of the festival treats/a late night bite to eat. BE AWARE that some festive treats sell out early.

Do Ride the Decked-Out Attractions
Several rides get a merry makeover just for the season. Space Mountain blasts off with festive lighting and upbeat holiday tunes, Tomorrowland Speedway turns into a glowing “Race Through the Holidays,” and Mad Tea Party shines with colorful lights and rotating holiday music combos. Don’t miss the Jingle Cruise for its signature humor with a holly-jolly twist, or Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor for extra “ha ha ha” mixed with “ho ho ho.”

Do Prioritize the Party Exclusives
Focus on what makes the event unique such as the party exclusive merchandise, snowfall on Main Street, exclusive parades, rare characters, and limited-time shows.

Do Watch the Second Parade
The first parade crowds Main Street. Skip it for shorter ride or character waits, then catch the second showing later with less stress. While everyone is waiting and watching the first parade, you can hopefully catch some shorter lines (totally dreamers style)!

Do Snack Strategically
Complimentary cookies and cocoa are everywhere, but each station has something different. TIP ALERT! If the party is at all like last year, the cookies came individually wrapped so you can grab them and put them in a bag for another day.

Do Dress Festive (and Comfortable)
Florida weather is unpredictable. Go all-in on holiday style, but look at the weather ahead of time and plan for a layer if you’d like. Dreamers, we have seen the party in the 80’s and as low as the 60’s!

Do Stake Out a Fireworks Spot
“Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” is worth slowing down for. The best view is front and center on Main Street, IF you can grab a spot early enough. Please also plan for disappointment as higher winds and weather can cancel the show in the sky.

Do Check the Entertainment Schedule
Use the My Disney Experience app or pick up a map (our personal fav). Shows, cookie stations, dance parties, and performances are spread throughout the park.

Do Capture the Magic Shots
PhotoPass photographers have party-exclusive Magic Shots and themed backdrops perfect for your Christmas cards. But here is the catch, they cost extra. So grab the shots and then see if you like them after the event for your family holiday photos.

Do Pace Yourself
Five hours fly by fast. Take moments to just enjoy the snow, music, and atmosphere.

Do End Your Night with Main Street Magic
There’s nothing like walking out under the snow with the castle glowing behind you. Dreamers, this is A MUST.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party DON’T’s

Don’t Spend Time on Non-Holiday Rides
Save your regular ride list for another day. Focus on the overlays and party-only fun. You will thank us later.

Don’t Skip the Weather Check
It’s Florida. That’s all we have to say.

Don’t Miss the Stage Shows
“Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” and the character dance parties are filled with rare characters and live performances.

Don’t Try to Do It All
The night goes fast. Pick your top priorities early, the rest is icing or sugar cookie dusting.

Don’t Forget a Portable Charger
Between photos, fireworks, and the app, your phone battery will vanish faster than Santa up a chimney.

Don’t Miss the Early Character Lines
Some meet-and-greets start before 7 p.m., and lines fill up quickly.

Don’t Assume Restaurants Are Open
Plan to eat before 7 p.m. Many quick-service spots convert to treat locations once the party starts. But do note that the full service restaurants that are open DO offer special party menu items if you have to sit down during the party!

Don’t Overdo the Free Treats
We love cookies as much as the next Dreamer, but too many too soon can take you from merry to queasy real quick. Oh yes, the hot cocoa can also be hot so be careful with that first sip!

Don’t Forget to Look Up
Between the snow, lights, and fireworks, Main Street’s sky is part of the show.

Don’t Leave Without a Lap Down Main Street (and leaving does not count)
It’s the perfect finale, the snow, the castle, and that Christmas music will stick with you long after midnight.

Ok Dreamers, if you’re heading to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year (we most definitely are), make the most of it. Plan ahead, pace yourself, and soak in every sparkling, cookie-filled moment. Whether it’s your first time or your fifteenth, it’s one of the most heartwarming ways to see Magic Kingdom in its holiday glow, and a reminder of why we all keep dreaming.
