Hey Dreamers. If you’ve ever planned a Disney World trip with kiddos, you know the panic: “Will they be tall enough to ride everything?” Today, we’re diving into height requirements for Disney World rides, so you can skip the drama at the ride entrance and maximize magical moments. While most attractions welcome Guests of all heights, some rides have minimum requirements, and a few even have maximums.
These rules aren’t just picky, they’re about safety, harnesses, and seatbelts.
Here’s a dreamers tip! Before you even pack the Mickey ears, measure your little ones at home. Grab a tape measure, mark the wall, and check toes, heels, and hair (yes, messy hair counts!). Measure them in socks or barefoot, not in boots or shoes that “magically add inches.”
Let’s just be honest, stretching, standing on tippies, or pumping up sneakers is not worth it and does not work. Cast members see right through it, and your kiddo will just end up disappointed. If they’re shy even an inch, don’t stress, they’ll get there soon enough, and you can plan rides around what’s safe today.
Take a photo of your kiddo next to the ride height stick with the name of the ride in it, it doubles as a memory and an easy reference in the park in case you have a Disney Adult moment and forget their height. Guilty!
Here’s another resource tip: make a chart at home with your kiddo’s height and the minimum heights for each ride. Highlight what they can ride now and circle what’s coming soon. It’s like a personal Disney bucket list that grows with them.
