Muppet Rockin Roller Coaster News

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Gets a Muppet Teaser Announcing a New Audio-Animatronic and Tentative Opening

It’s been a while since Disney first dropped the news that The Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and the hype is only growing. We finally have a few new details to jam out to.

Disney has officially teased that the Muppets will make their high-speed debut in Summer 2026, while the Aerosmith version will keep rockin’ through 2025. A little cryptic? Definitely. A little thrilling? Absolutely.

Disney Parks Blog just released a few exciting details, and trust us, this ride update sounds like pure Electric Mayhem.

Summer 2026 Is Gonna Still Rock

The big headline: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets speeds into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Summer 2026.

That’s right, The Electric Mayhem is back! And surprisingly for the first time ever, Scooter will appear as an Audio-Animatronics figure, joining the ranks of Disney’s most beloved robotic stars. Disney also teased that he might not be the only Muppet joining the animatronic crew.

Here’s the official word from Disney Parks Blog:

“At Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, you bet we’ll have rock as we roll across Hollywood on a wild ride with the Electric Mayhem – complete with backstage chaos, high-speed thrills, that signature Muppet humor… and an all-new Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure.

Side by side with a dedicated team of penguin audio engineers, Scooter, in his capacity as band manager, will be trying hard to convince the Electric Mayhem to stop laying down tracks so they won’t be late to their own concert. This will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an Audio-Animatronics figure, and I hear he might not be the only Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure joining the attraction… but we’ll have to wait to learn more about that.”

Nostalgia Meets Electric Mayhem

If you’re anything like us at One Man’s Dreamers, you’re totally sad to see Aerosmith go but also love the Muppets.

We remember the Disney-MGM Studios days, when the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground was a kid’s dream come true (our dream come true), and MuppetVision 3D was a must-see every trip.

Fast forward a few years, and Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster became the adrenaline fix of our college days, and this was a must-do every time we entered the park. This said, we will absolutely miss the original ride.

Now, we get the best of both worlds: the chaotic charm of The Muppets paired with the high-speed loops we’ve loved for decades. It’s a generational bridge, and it feels so right.

What Else is Ahead (or should we say, what is up with Elsa’s Head?)

In case you missed it, Disney also teased another Audio-Animatronic glow-up recently, check out our full coverage of the Frozen Ever After update right here: EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After Getting an Icy Makeover

So Dreamers. if this Muppets announcement is any sign of what’s to come, 2026 is shaping up to be one wild ride through nostalgia, music, and pure Disney creativity. Tell us how you feel about the recent news in the comments below.
