A Meal With A View

Wailulu Bar and Grill sits right along the Seven Seas Lagoon and the view alone feels like vacation. The name comes from Hawaiian words meaning water and calm, and that is exactly what it delivers. Think island energy, soft breezes, lagoon sparkle, and a dining space that feels like the perfect escape.

Inside, you will find Polynesian inspired art created created with an artistic glow, along with some familiar characters.

We Loved It So Much We Returned From Another Resort

We originally tried Wailulu Bar and Grill while staying at the Polynesian and instantly fell in love. On our next trip, we stayed at a totally different resort and still made time to come back here for lunch. That says everything. When you travel across Disney property just to eat somewhere again, you know it is special.

And if you can time your dinner with Magic Kingdom fireworks over the water, do it. The reflection on the lagoon makes it magical.

The Hibiscus Tea We Now Make At Home

One of our favorite surprises at Wailulu Bar and Grill is the hibiscus iced tea.

It is refreshing, sweet, bold in flavor, and so good that we now recreate it at home using stevia to keep the sweetness without the sugar stack. It has become our new staple drink when we want a little taste of Disney magic at home.

More Lunch Favorites You Should Not Skip

The garlic shrimp is another major standout from the Wailulu Bar and Grill lunch menu. If you love garlic, run do not walk. For sixteen dollars, you get jumbo shrimp drenched in garlic lemon butter with Smoked Paprika, Black Garlic Emulsion, and Crispy Garlic. It instantly became our number two favorite dish after the ribs.

Then there is the Wayfinder Burger. The first time we loved it. The second time, it was just good and maybe needed a little more volcano sauce. It comes with two pressed patties, American cheese, onion jam, and a choice of Mac Salad or Sweet Potato Fries. Still worth a try.

Dole Whip With Extra Magic

Yes, Dole Whip is classic, but the version here comes with berry compote and a Mickey topper. It is adorable, refreshing, and honestly ten times more fun than grabbing one in the park.
