Hey Dreamers, today we are diving straight into our Space 220 Restaurant Review, and this one hits close to home for our cosmic loving community. We are totally into space.
We have worked at Space Mountain and even worked with a lunar lander company literally sending tech to the moon. So trying Space 220 in Epcot was never a maybe. It was an absolute must.
Our first visit was dinner and it felt like an experience of a lifetime. Naturally, for a complete Space 220 Restaurant Review, we had to go back and compare lunch to see if the magic held up at a lower price point.
Space 220 is a fully immersive dining adventure where you board the Stellarvator, a simulated space elevator that transports you 220 miles above Earth. Instead of walking into a normal restaurant, you feel like you are launching into orbit. The Imagineering here is wild.
The Centauri Space Station setting, the glowing hydroponic garden, and the panoramic Earth views make the experience unlike anything else at Epcot. And because this is a Space 220 Restaurant Review, we have to say it: Disney did not hold back. Every detail is crafted to sell the illusion that you are actually dining in space.

You will find Space 220 next to Mission Space at EPCOT. Look to the right and you will spot the clean blue sign marking the entrance.
Lunch is $55 for adults and gives you one appetizer and one entree. Kids meals are $29 with a drink and dessert included. Dinner jumps to $79 adults and $35 for kids with a full three course experience.

The Space 220 Experience
Once inside the lobby, you already feel the shift from Epcot to orbit mode. This moment alone sets the tone for our Space 220 Restaurant Review.

Boarding the Stellarvator is when the wow kicks in. The floor viewport shows Earth falling away beneath you. The ascent is impressive and surprisingly realistic. If movement visuals bother you, avoid looking down, but the effect is still amazing.

Stepping into the station’s hallway, you pass glowing plants and futuristic lighting.

And here is the view from Earth after being transported!

Plus there is not a bad view in the house as the screens are always moving in front of the restaurant.

The Space 220 Dining Experience
So fancy! Our soda water alone set the tone for lunch. Instead of a basic drink, it arrived with a galactic lime and a sparkling shooting star stir stick that felt like it came straight from Mission Control. It is a tiny touch, but it instantly puts you in the mindset that this meal is supposed to be playful and otherworldly.

The calamari continues to be our number one must order appetizer.
We loved it during our first visit (dinner) and loved it again at lunch. It comes out perfectly crisp, lightly golden, and paired with Italian cherry peppers, spicy marinara, and a roasted pepper citrus aioli that hits every flavor note without being overwhelming.
It is the kind of dish you keep reaching for even when you know you should save room for your entree.

The shrimp tacos were another hit for us.
They are packed with marinated shrimp, crunchy lettuce, shallots, and wrapped in crispy wonton shells that give them the perfect texture contrast. They lean fresh rather than heavy, making them a great starter if you want bold flavor without feeling weighed down. Each bite has that bright citrusy punch that keeps you going back for more.

The salmon was hands down one of our favorite parts of the entire lunch. The miso glaze gives it a sweet and savory richness, and the curry blood orange beurre blanc adds a tangy note that sets it apart from typical theme park salmon. Paired with tender sauteed leeks and a tempura fried mushroom, the whole dish feels crafted and complete.
If we had to crown a top entree, the salmon would be it.

The steak and fries was unfortunately the one item we would not come back for.
And for the price tag. The flavors were fine but not memorable, and for the price point, we expected something with a little more wow factor. The jumbo shrimp add on for $15 might give the dish more personality, but without it, the steak leans standard rather than space station worthy.

The kids meals were crowd pleasing but definitely overpriced for what they include.
Think classic chicken tenders with fries, a drink, and a small dessert (maybe a $15 value). The food itself was solid and the kids enjoyed it, but the twenty nine dollar price tag felt high for something you could get elsewhere in the parks for much less.
The collectible cup and glow cube add ons are cute but raise the total even more.

Dessert brought the fun but not the value. The birthday cake sorbet scoop was colorful, sweet, and great for photos, but portion wise and flavor wise, it felt more like a bonus treat than a true finale. For families looking to maximize every dollar, dessert at lunch may not feel like a standout moment.
We also tried the kids Milky Meltaway which was more of a value add however it disappeared too quickly before us dreamers could grab a shot!

At the end of your meal, the magic wraps up with one last immersive moment. You step back into the Stellarvator and begin your descent into Epcot. The glowing Earth slowly rises beneath you as the station fades away.

Even though you know it is simulated, the ride down feels like a gentle return from a real adventure.
It is the perfect cooldown after being fully absorbed in the atmosphere above the planet. The transition from space back to the park reminds you why this experience is so special.
It is not just a dining experience, it is a story from beginning to end.
The Space 220 Trading Cards Experience
On occasion, there is a fun surprises at Space 220. The trading cards add an extra layer of excitement that guests of all ages love. Kids meals automatically come with a pack (when available), and ordering a zero proof cocktail will get you one too.
On very lucky days, the Executive Chef has been known to drop special edition cards at random tables, which turns the whole experience into a mini treasure hunt.
To note, we got these at our first dining experience but not our second.
These cards make the restaurant feel even more interactive and give you something to take home that continues the story long after your trip is over. For collectors or Disney fans who love unique keepsakes, the cards are an instant highlight.

Final Thoughts and Our Recommendation
Ok Dreamers, here is the truth from our little corner of the galaxy. Space 220 delivers one of the most imaginative dining experiences Disney has ever created and it is pretty much built for people like us who love a good story, a good meal, and anything that feels a little bit cosmic. The ascent, the atmosphere, the views, the food, the trading cards, the entire adventure from launch to landing really does make you feel like you stepped into something special.
But for the value, which should you choose, lunch or dinner?
Lunch offers great appetizers, playful touches, and flavorful entree options, but the value balance can feel uneven.
Dinner, on the other hand, is where Space 220 truly shines. The dishes are more elevated, the flavors have greater depth, and the whole meal feels like a complete culinary journey that matches the scale of the experience. In every way, dinner feels closer to what the restaurant promises.
If you are planning your first visit and want the full impact of everything we described in this Space 220 Restaurant Review, we always recommend booking dinner if your budget allows. It is the version that made us fall in love with this restaurant and the one we believe Dreamers will enjoy the most.
So go ahead and add Space 220 to your Disney bucket list. Your stellar space adventure awaits.
