On our last trip for Valentine’s Day, and even twice last year, we were on the hunt for something truly memorable… little did we realize the perfect spot was right under our noses.

We all know how hard it is to experience the famous Trader Sam’s at Disneyland Hotel, the lines, the demand, the hype, it’s unreal!

But don’t worry, the Trader Sam’s walk-up bar offers the same amazing drinks and collectible mugs without the hassle. Known as the Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, here you can get quick, delicious, and budget-friendly options that instantly made it our go-to for a Disneyland Breakfast worth remembering.

We struggled to find a good breakfast that didn’t break the bank, but here? We finally hit the breakfast jackpot. To note, we are not fans of character breakfasts due to the price tag and sometimes the food is not great, depending on where you dine.

Walking inside you’ll notice a casual quick cafe setup for walk ups but the menu is where the magic happens Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill offers breakfast options under $16 per adult which is a rare find near Disneyland.

The American Breakfast comes with scrambled eggs sweet potato medley and a choice of bacon or turkey bacon served with a fresh pineapple wedge. You can even upgrade to the Kahlua braised short rib for a little extra indulgence

For something playful and Instagram-worthy, try the Ube-stuffed French Toast made with Japanese milk bread, coconut custard, Ube diplomat cream, and fresh tropical fruit. It’s sweet, fluffy, and perfectly tropical. For our honest take on this, the french toast was a bit sweet but still really nice to try!

The Mickey-shaped pancake and Mickey-shaped Tangaroa Toast are also crowd favorites, especially for the kids, served with turkey bacon, so everyone leaves happy and full. And both only $9.50! Note that menu prices are subject to change at any time so it is important you check the menu before visiting.

One of the best parts about Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is the poolside views. You can grab your breakfast and enjoy the Disneyland Hotel pools, swaying palms, and that relaxed resort vibe without even leaving the hotel grounds. It feels like a secret escape from the hustle and bustle of the parks, but still puts you minutes from all the magic.

We loved how Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill combines flavor, presentation, and affordability for Breakfast at Disneyland. The service is quick, the menu has variety, and you can even mobile order, making mornings stress-free when you’re trying to hit the rides early.

The combination of classic breakfast options, tropical flavors, and beautiful surroundings makes this one of the best Disneyland breakfast experiences.
