2026 Guide to the Discover the COOLEST Characters at EPCOT

Hey Dreamers! If you’ve ever wondered where to find characters at EPCOT, you might be surprised by just how many magical encounters are tucked throughout the park.

While EPCOT is famous for festivals, food booths, and futuristic rides, it’s also quietly one of the most charming places to meet beloved Disney friends.

From princesses in the World Showcase to a purple dragon with a big imagination, there are plenty of characters at EPCOT waiting to say hello.

So if you’re planning your day and wondering what characters are at EPCOT, we’ve got you covered with a guide that will help you track down some of the most delightful character moments in the park.

Meet Mickey and Friends at EPCOT

Let’s start with the icons.

If you’re looking for classic Disney magic, you can meet beloved pals like Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy during the Mickey & Friends character experience at World Celebration. It’s one of the easiest ways to say hello to the legends themselves and snap that perfect vacation photo. Be aware there can be longer wait times due to the popularity of this one!

Most people completely forget this but if you have the Disney Via credit card, there is a special Disney Visa Cardmember Photo Opportunity at EPCOT, where cardholders can pose with Mickey and friends in a special private meet and greet location. The perk here is super short wait times or no wait time at all!

You’ll also spot Pluto greeting guests near the main entrance of the park. He’s known for playful poses and silly antics so if you can spot Pluto, be sure to stop and say hi.

Princesses and Storybook Friends Around World Showcase

One of the coolest parts of finding characters at EPCOT is how perfectly they fit into their surroundings. The World Showcase pavilions bring stories to life by placing characters right where their tales began.

In the United Kingdom pavilion, you might stumble upon Alice wandering through the gardens or even spot Winnie the Pooh meeting guests in Christopher Robin’s charming storybook setting.

Over in France, Belle greets guests wearing her village dress (seriously or favorite). It feels like stepping straight into the opening scenes of Beauty and the Beast.

Princess Aurora also appears here at times, making the gardens feel like something out of a fairy tale.

If you continue around the World Showcase, you’ll find more royal encounters. Princess Jasmine greets guests in Morocco, Snow White welcomes visitors in Germany, and Mulan appears in China, often sharing stories about her adventures.

These locations make meeting epcot characters feel immersive and authentic, almost like you’ve traveled directly into the films themselves.

Unique Characters You Can Only Meet at EPCOT

Some of the most unique characters at EPCOT are the ones you simply won’t find in many other places.

Inside ImageWorks, guests can meet Figment, the beloved purple dragon from Journey Into Imagination. For longtime EPCOT fans, this is a must do moment. Figment has been part of EPCOT’s storytelling for decades, and meeting him feels like a nod to the park’s creative spirit.

Nearby, over in the Norway pavilion, guests can visit Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus. This cozy indoor meet and greet feels like stepping into a Nordic cabin straight from Frozen. Just get ready for a longer wait time for this one but sometimes you can time it just right with a lucky ten minute wait!

You may also find Asha, the heroine from Disney’s Wish, greeting guests near World Showcase Plaza (the entrance of World Showcase). Her appearance is a newer addition and a fun surprise for Dreamers who enjoy discovering newer Epcot characters during their visit.

Unexpected Characters Around the Park

One of the fun things about characters at EPCOT is that they sometimes appear in places you might not expect.

For example, Donald Duck greets guests in the Mexico pavilion wearing a festive sombrero. And Daisy Duck is often spotted at International Gateway.

Over near Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, you can even meet Star Lord (this one is seriosly on our list). His meet and greet is full of humor and dance moves, which feels very on brand for the legendary outlaw.

Moments like these are what make discovering what characters are at EPCOT feel like a little adventure of its own.

Why Character Encounters at EPCOT Feel Different

While Magic Kingdom may have the most character meet and greets overall, the characters at EPCOT often feel more relaxed and story driven. Many appear in the countries tied to their stories, creating moments that feel immersive instead of staged.

It’s also one of the few parks where you can meet such a wide mix of characters in one day. You might start your morning with Pluto, chat with Mulan after lunch, and end the evening laughing with Star Lord.

And that variety is part of what makes meeting Epcot characters such a memorable part of a park day.

Ok Dreamers, So the next time you visit, keep your eyes open as there are a ton of photo opportunities!

If you want to explore the official list and current times for these encounters, you can check the official Disney page here (be sure to use the filter for characters). Here is a map of all the locations (as of March 2026 but be sure to refer to the app on the day you are headed to Epcot!). BUt it’s not only about the kiddos.
