Hey Dreamers! There are plenty of places to grab a quick bite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but only one lets you become one of Andy’s honorary toys. Hidden inside Toy Story Land, Roundup Rodeo BBQ invites you into Andy’s backyard for a family-style barbecue surrounded by oversized toys, colorful playsets, and some of your favorite Toy Story characters.
The moment you step through the doors, you’re no longer a visitor, you’re another toy trying not to get caught moving when Andy walks into the room.
Disney Imagineers packed this restaurant with playful details which is incredible. A giant Jessie towers over one side of the dining room while Bo Peep, Trixie, western towns, train sets, and toy rodeo scenes surround every table.

Even the dinner plates are designed to look like paper picnic plates until you pick one up and realize they’re actually ceramic.
It’s one of those restaurants where you’re constantly looking around because there’s always another detail to discover.
If you’ve ever dreamed of shrinking down to the size of a toy, Disney absolutely delivers that feeling here. One of the most fun parts of the experience at Roundup Rodeo BBQ is the “Andy’s coming!” moment. When it happens, everyone in the restaurant freezes in place like toys caught mid-movement, and it’s genuinely one of those simple Disney details that gets big smiles across the room. Kids especially seem to love it, and you can hear the excitement ripple through the dining area when it starts.
During our visit, it only happened once, so it’s possible it goes off more frequently when the timing aligns with other groups or Cast Member pacing. Even so, it added a playful layer to the meal and made the atmosphere feel interactive in a way that everyone at the table enjoyed.

For the Higher Price Tag, Does it Take You To Infinity and Beyond?
So, does the food live up to the incredible atmosphere?
Roundup Rodeo BBQ has become a harder dining reservations to score in Hollywood Studios since opening, and with lunch and dinner currently priced in Disney’s premium dining category, this isn’t a restaurant most families book on a whim. So, you want to know you’re getting your money’s worth.
That’s exactly why we decided to put it to the test. From the biscuits and brisket to the barbecue sauces, desserts, and all-you-care-to-enjoy platters, we’re breaking down everything you need to know before booking your own meal.
Pricing and Value
For Summer 2026, pricing sits firmly in Disney’s mid to upper tier dining category.
Official pricing is as follows (this pricing was as of June 2026 and is subject to change):
$49 per adult, plus tax and gratuity
$28 per child (Ages 3 to 9), plus tax and gratuity
This is not a casual dining price point, especially for families.
What you are really paying for here is a combination of food and experience, with experience leading the way.
If you evaluate this strictly as barbecue, the value becomes harder to justify. If you evaluate it as an immersive Toy Story dining experience with generous portions and entertainment built into the environment, the picture changes significantly.

Rustling Up the Feast
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a family style, all you care to enjoy meal, served straight to the table in platters meant for sharing. It’s built for groups, for passing dishes around, and for trying a little bit of everything without worrying about portions.
The spread is generous and very much in line with classic backyard barbecue.
Our table included warm cheddar biscuits, brisket, ribs, BBQ chicken, sausage, street style corn, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon salad with cilantro, cucumber tomato salad with red onion, and an optional salmon add on.
Everything comes out hot, fresh, and ready for refills if you want more.
Fountain drinks are included, and there are additional adult beverage options available for those looking to upgrade the experience.
At first glance, it’s impressive. There’s a lot of food here, and nobody leaves hungry.

The Unexpected Standouts
Before getting into what didn’t quite land, it’s worth highlighting the dishes that genuinely surprised us.
The homemade cheddar biscuits were easily one of the best parts of the entire meal. Warm, soft, and freshly baked, they arrived at the table with a richness that made them disappear faster than anything else.
The brisket was another strong highlight. Seasoned beautifully with a flavorful bark on top, it had a nice balance of lean and fatty pieces that made each bite different from the last. This was easily one of the more memorable proteins on the platter.
The street style corn also stood out. This is not basic corn on the cob. It comes coated with cheese and seasoning, leaning into a Mexican street corn style preparation that actually works surprisingly well in the context of the meal.
Sauces, Sides, and the Honest Middle Ground
If barbecue lives or dies by its sauces, this is where opinions will likely split.
The sweet sauce was the clear winner. It had the best consistency and actually enhanced the meat rather than overpowering it.
The spicy and classic sauces, however, leaned thin and vinegary. Both lacked the body and depth you typically expect from a dedicated barbecue spot, and that will matter a lot depending on how you like to eat your barbecue.

The ribs had solid flavor but were not fall off the bone tender. The texture leaned more chewy than expected.
The chicken and sausage were fine but not particularly memorable. The salmon was tasty, but maybe a bit out of place.
The baked beans were fairly bland, and the coleslaw sat firmly in the “it’s fine” category without standing out in either direction.
This is where Roundup Rodeo BBQ becomes very clear about what it is. It is not trying to be a destination barbecue restaurant. It is trying to be a themed dining experience with barbecue as the vehicle.
And depending on what you’re looking for, that distinction matters.
Dessert Roundup
Dessert here follows the same philosophy as the rest of the meal. It’s about variety, fun, and accessibility rather than culinary complexity.
The lineup includes mass produced seasonal cheesecake, banana cream pie, Billy’s chocolate silk pie, and the Cupcake à la Forky.
Everything is served chilled in small individual containers, making it easy to share and sample.
Most of the desserts fall into the category of “pleasant but not memorable,” designed more for finishing a meal than stealing the show.
However, one clear standout emerged.
The Cupcake à la Forky was excellent. Rich chocolate flavor, soft and moist texture, and a fun presentation that actually delivers more than just theming. This is the one dessert we would absolutely order again.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ vs Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
One of the best ways to understand Roundup Rodeo BBQ is to compare it to another Hollywood Studios favorite, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater.
Both restaurants follow a similar philosophy. The food is not the main attraction. The experience is.
At Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, you’re seated in a retro car while watching classic sci-fi clips under a simulated night sky. It’s one of the most unique dining setups in Walt Disney World, and it delivers a strong sense of nostalgia and atmosphere from the moment you sit down. The food, however, is fairly low in quality and doesn’t necessarily stand out on its own.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ follows the same pattern, just with a different theme and price point.
At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, you are paying significantly more, but you’re also getting a more substantial meal. It’s all-you-care-to-enjoy, family style, with hearty portions of meats, sides, and desserts. The tradeoff is that while the food is more abundant, it still doesn’t reach “destination barbecue” quality for most food-focused guests.
Where Roundup Rodeo pulls ahead is in interactivity and energy. The Toy Story theming, the oversized environment, and moments like “Andy’s Coming” create a level of engagement that Sci-Fi Dine-In doesn’t quite match in the same way.
In the end, both restaurants sit in the same category: Experience driven dining, where atmosphere carries the meal.
If you are choosing between the two, it really comes down to what you value more on that particular day. A lower cost nostalgic escape in a retro theater car, or a high energy Toy Story backyard barbecue with endless plates of food and constant visual storytelling.
Neither is about the food alone, and both succeed because of that understanding.
Final Thoughts
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is one of those Disney restaurants that reveals itself based on expectations.
If you come expecting elite barbecue, you will likely leave underwhelmed.
If you come expecting a fully immersive Toy Story experience with fun atmosphere, generous portions, and a meal that keeps everyone at the table happy, you will probably leave satisfied.
It is not about precision barbecue technique or competition level smoke.
It is about being in Andy’s backyard, freezing when Andy comes into the room, sharing plates with your family, and enjoying a meal that feels like part of the attraction itself.
And in that sense, it absolutely succeeds.
Ok Dreamers, so Roundup Rodeo BBQ may not be the best barbecue at Walt Disney World, but it might just be one of the most fun ways to sit down and eat at Hollywood Studios. And sometimes, that’s exactly the point
