Disney x BÉIS luggage collection featuring a Mickey Mouse carry-on, tote, and cosmetic pouch

The Disney Luggage We Can’t Stop Talking About

Hey Dreamers! Finding Disney luggage that is actually cute, well-made, and something you would happily take through an airport can be harder than it sounds. There is plenty of Disney luggage out there, but a lot of it leans heavily into kids’ designs. That can be fun, but when you’re looking for something you’ll use for years, you want more than a Mickey Mouse print slapped onto a suitcase.

That’s what caught our attention about the new Disney x BÉIS collection. It feels very Disney without feeling like something you will outgrow, and the pieces actually look like they belong together. We tried the Disney Carry-On Roller, Disney Tote, and Disney Medium Cosmetic Pouch, and there is a lot to like here.

There is one thing we weren’t completely sold on, though. And is it a deal breaker in the end?

And before we get into this one, we want to be clear about something: this is not a paid post, and we are not paid affiliates for BÉIS. We don’t endorse brands simply because someone sends us something or because there’s a commission attached to it. We buy and try things we genuinely like, and when we find something that we think is worth talking about, we want to tell you about it honestly. That’s exactly what this is.

Why Disney Luggage Is So Hard to Get Right

Disney luggage has to walk a pretty fine line. You want enough Disney to make you smile when you see it, but you also want something that feels practical, polished, and capable of handling actual travel.

That’s where a lot of Disney luggage misses for us. Something can be adorable in a store and still not be the piece you want to drag through an airport, toss into a car, or take on a weeklong Disney vacation. And if you’re spending good money on luggage, you want it to feel like something you’ll keep using rather than something that was cute for one trip.

The Disney x BÉIS collection takes a different approach. Instead of making the Disney details the entire personality of the luggage, BÉIS builds them into pieces that already have a clean, functional design.

Meet Disney x BÉIS

BÉIS was founded in 2018 by actress and entrepreneur Shay Mitchell after she saw a gap in the travel market between luggage that was stylish but expensive, affordable luggage that wasn’t particularly well made, and functional luggage that wasn’t very attractive. The brand was created around the idea that travel gear could be practical and good-looking at the same time.

That makes the Disney collaboration a pretty natural fit. This particular Disney x BÉIS collection launched in August 2026 (woo hoo!) and includes 28 pieces (some already sold out) inspired by Mickey and Friends, including luggage, bags, and travel accessories. The collection combines vintage Disney artwork and Mickey details with the functional features BÉIS is known for. And honestly? They nailed the look.

The Disney Carry-On Roller

The Disney Carry-On Roller is the piece that immediately grabs your attention. We have ours in Mickey Mouse Red, and the color alone is fantastic. It is unmistakably Disney without covering the entire suitcase in character graphics.

The hard-shell exterior feels durable, and the suitcase has 360-degree wheels, a TSA lock, a built-in weight indicator (absolute game changer), and two inches of expandable space.

The carry-on measures 15.70 inches by 22.83 inches by 10 inches and weighs 7.81 pounds, with 49 liters of storage that expands to 61 liters.

That is a lot of functionality packed into a carry-on, and the design doesn’t feel overly complicated. Everything has a purpose, which is exactly what we want from travel gear.

Then you start noticing the little Mickey touches.

The Little Mickey Details Are So Good

This is where the collection gets fun.

The wheels have a custom Mickey imprint, and the Disney details continue once you open the suitcase. The interior lining has Mickey’s clothes and shoes scattered throughout, which is such a clever little detail. It feels like Mickey unpacked right alongside you rather than someone simply adding a character logo to a standard suitcase.

There are also custom details throughout the collection that reward you for actually looking at the pieces instead of just seeing them from across the room.

And that is really what we like about this collaboration. The Disney elements are there, but they aren’t screaming for attention.

The Cushioned Trolley Handle Is a Standout

Our favorite feature might be one of the least exciting-looking ones: the cushioned silicone trolley handle.

It sounds like a small thing until you actually use it. The handle feels noticeably different in your hand, and after pulling luggage around an airport for a while, those little comfort details matter.

This is one of those features that doesn’t necessarily sell the suitcase from a photograph, but once you have it in your hands, you understand why it is there. We really liked it.

The Disney Tote Is Just as Good

The Disney Tote in Blue Jeans might be our favorite piece from the collection purely because it is so easy to use.

The denim-inspired blue color looks great with the Mickey Mouse Red suitcase, and the tote itself feels substantial. It doesn’t have that floppy, throw-it-in-your-bag feeling that some travel totes have. It feels like a real everyday bag that happens to coordinate beautifully with your luggage.

The tote has a dedicated laptop compartment, plenty of pockets, padded straps, and a trolley pass-through so you can slide it over the handle of your suitcase. It holds 25.53 liters and weighs just over two pounds.

At $148, it isn’t an inexpensive tote, but the construction makes sense for something you can use beyond a Disney vacation. This could easily become your airport bag, work bag, weekend bag, or everyday travel tote.

And that blue? So good.

The Disney Medium Cosmetic Pouch Is So Cute

Then there is the Disney Medium Cosmetic Pouch in Blue Jeans, and yes, this one is really, really cute (pictured above with the tote).

It is also much roomier than you might expect from a cosmetic pouch. The interior has customizable compartments, so you can organize your toiletries instead of throwing everything into one big pocket and hoping for the best.

The materials are wipeable, which is exactly what we want from anything holding shampoo, makeup, skincare, or the mysterious collection of tiny things that somehow ends up in every travel bag.

The Disney details make it fun, but the size and organization are what make it useful.

Why We Love the Whole Collection Together

This is where the Disney x BÉIS collection really works. The Mickey Mouse Red suitcase paired with the Blue Jeans tote and cosmetic pouch looks coordinated without looking like you bought a matching Disney luggage set just for the sake of having everything match.

The pieces have their own personalities, but they still work together. You can take the suitcase on a Disney vacation, use the tote on a work trip, and throw the cosmetic pouch into your bag for a weekend away.

That versatility is important because good travel gear shouldn’t have to wait for a Disney trip to get used.

What We’d Pack in Each Piece

The carry-on would be our main clothing bag. For a Disney trip, that means outfits, pajamas, swimsuits, shoes, and the things we tend to need quickly once we arrive. The expandable section gives you a little extra breathing room, which is especially useful if you know you’re coming home with souvenirs.

The tote would handle everything we want within reach during travel: laptop, chargers, headphones, snacks, travel documents, a water bottle, and the random kid necessities that somehow become your responsibility the second you leave the house.

And the cosmetic pouch would get all the little things that otherwise end up scattered throughout the suitcase. Skincare, makeup, hair products, medications, toothbrushes, and those tiny travel items that are easy to lose until you need them.

Together, the three pieces make a pretty great travel setup.

And Then There Are the Wheels…

Okay, Dreamers. We promised we’d save this part for the end, and here we are. The Mickey wheels are adorable. But when it comes to how the suitcase actually rolls, this is where we have to be honest.

The Disney Carry-On Roller does not glide quite as smoothly as some of the higher-end luggage brands we’ve used. The wheels work, and they certainly aren’t a dealbreaker for us, but at $278 for a carry-on, we expected the rolling experience to be a little more refined.

And that is really the one thing we’d change. But here’s where we land after actually using the collection: cute is enough.

Not because functionality doesn’t matter. It absolutely does. But the Disney x BÉIS collection gets so much right. The suitcase looks great, the Disney details are thoughtful, the handle is incredibly comfortable, the tote is genuinely useful, and the cosmetic pouch is both practical and fun.

If you are expecting the absolute smoothest-rolling suitcase on the market, this probably isn’t it.

If you want Disney luggage that looks grown-up, feels special, coordinates beautifully, and makes you happy every time you see it sitting beside you at the airport?

Yeah. Cute is enough. OK, Dreamers. We’d absolutely pack these for our next Disney trip.

Let Me Handle the Planning

Finding great travel gear is fun. Figuring out every other piece of a Disney vacation? Not nearly as much. That’s where I come in.

As a Disney destination travel expert, I bring more than a love of Disney to the planning process. I spent more than a decade working for Disney, including roles in operations, guest services, Disney Destinations marketing, Disney University, and Disney Springs. I’ve also spent decades visiting Disney destinations with my own family, staying across all the Disney resorts including Aulani, sailing 10+ times on the Disney Cruise Line, and experiencing the details that can make a trip feel effortless, or unnecessarily complicated.

That experience is what I bring to every vacation I help plan. I can help you choose the right destination, resort, cruise, or experience for your family, build your trip around the way you actually like to travel, and help with the details along the way, from dining and Lightning Lane planning to those little decisions that can quickly become overwhelming when you’re trying to figure everything out yourself.

You can absolutely plan a Disney vacation on your own. There is more information available than ever. But information is everywhere. Confidence is rare.

My job is to help you make confident Disney decisions, take the research off your plate, and give you someone in your corner from the moment you start dreaming about your trip until you’re home again.

And yes, I’ll probably have an opinion about which suitcase you should bring, too. Want to see everything I can do for you? Check out One Man’s Dreamers or contact me below!

From sailing on Disney Cruise Line with a baby to Halloween Time at Disneyland, I have so much to help you!
