Hey Dreamers! Today is all about warm feelings, grateful hearts, and a whole lot of Disney magic. This is the perfect moment to look back on the people, places, and experiences that shaped my journey and turned one family vacation into an entire lifetime of dreaming big. Disney has been woven into my life since childhood and Thanksgiving feels like the perfect moment to celebrate it all. So here is some of my Disney Thanksgiving gratitude.

Childhood Memories That Sparked Everything

My love for Disney began the moment six year old me stepped into Disneyland for the first time. Walking under the train station felt like crossing into a new universe and the rush of excitement has stayed with me ever since. Main Street wrapped around me like a warm hug and I knew something special was happening.

Then at twelve my family stepped into a Disney Vacation Club presentation. I did not understand what it meant. I just knew the rooms looked amazing and my parents were intrigued. That moment turned into a future full of family trips and memories that shaped our lives. Looking back it feels like fate in the most magical way.

The Disney Store That Set Everything in Motion

In 2002, my first Disney job felt like opening a secret door to a new world. Working at the Disney Store in Colorado became my favorite job because I got to sell Disney Park tickets and feel the excitement of every single guest. It felt like sharing tiny sparks of magic all day long.

Then came the moment that changed everything. A man walked in one day and used his Disney discount. I asked where he worked. One conversation later my entire life shifted. I was accepted into the Disney College Program and I packed faster than you can say pixie dust. It was the beginning of a dream I did not know I was brave enough to chase.

Thanksgiving Gratitude for the Disney College Program

The Disney College Program in 2004 was the chapter that transformed my life. I worked at the world famous Space Mountain and every day felt like stepping into controlled chaos with a soundtrack of rockets, laughter, and pure adrenaline. The paper Fast Pass era. The cool air that saved us on hot days. The constant flow of guests ready for adventure.

I learned a whole vocabulary that still lives in my mind. 10-4 meant everything was all clear and we used it 100 times a day. Mountain 5 signaled that we needed wheelchair assistance. Space 101 was Space Mountain is down and Space 105 confirmed the attraction was back up and running. These phrases became my daily language and a badge of honor in the world of attractions.

Space Mountain taught me confidence. Leadership. People skills. And how to handle surprises with a smile. It gave me a career and a lifelong appreciation for the power of storytelling.

Thankful for the Family Who Walked Every Mile With Me

None of this would exist without my family. They walked thousands of miles across Disney parks long before we had devices tracking steps. They saved and planned and packed to make sure every trip felt like a dream. They taught me the joy of Disney long before I ever worked there.

They fell in love with Disney Vacation Club and chose Old Key West then Saratoga Springs then the Contemporary then Animal Kingdom then the Grand Californian. And now I personally own Riviera. It feels like the perfect full circle moment.

Disney Vacation Club changed everything for us. Real space. Real comfort. Bedrooms that felt like home. Kitchens that made life easier. Washer and dryer when we needed it. Beautiful resort views that made mornings feel special. It made traveling as a family feel effortless.

Looking Back and Looking Forward With Gratitude

My time after the Disney College Program took me into more than ten years of work with the company. Disney College Recruitment. Disney Destination Sales. And serving as a Guest Service Manager at what is now Disney Springs. Every role shaped me and taught me lessons that still guide me today.

So today I want to say thank you. Thank you to my parents for every mile and every trip. Thank you to Space Mountain for launching my confidence and my career. Thank you to Disney Vacation Club for giving our family a place to grow memories year after year. Thank you to every friend and cast member who shared the journey.
